Fasten Up Your Future survey prize draw – terms and conditions

The survey opens on 10 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on 11 September 2026. Please read these terms before entering the prize draw.

1. Who is running the prize draw

The prize draw is being run by SoMoCo Ltd, company number 09104338, registered at 33 Thingwall Road, Irby, Wirral, CH61 3UE. In these terms, “SoMoCo” means the promoter of the prize draw.

The survey and prize draw are administered solely by SoMoCo Ltd. The Road Safety Trust and the participating local authorities, councils, road safety partnerships and other project partners are not promoters of the prize draw and are not responsible for its administration, the selection of the winner, the issue of the prize or decisions relating to entries.

2. Who can enter

You can enter if you are aged 18 to 25, live in Bolton, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley, Hyndburn, Pendle, Preston or Leicester, and complete and submit the Fasten Up Your Future online survey.

Employees of SoMoCo, anyone directly involved in running the survey or prize draw, and their immediate family members cannot enter. SoMoCo may ask for reasonable evidence that an entrant meets the eligibility requirements.

3. How to enter

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. To enter, you must complete and submit the online survey and provide a valid email address so that SoMoCo can contact you if you win.

Only one entry per person is allowed. Completing the survey more than once, using more than one email address or identity, or using an automated system will not increase your chance of winning. Your survey answers and opinions will not affect your chance of winning.

4. Opening and closing dates

The survey and prize draw open on 10 August 2026 and close at 11:59pm on 11 September 2026.

SoMoCo reserves the right to close the survey and prize draw early if the target number of valid survey responses is reached before the stated closing date. Where reasonably practicable, notice of an early closure will be shown on the survey page or communicated through the channels used to promote the survey.

Entries received after the survey has closed will not be accepted.

5. Duplicate, automated or invalid entries

SoMoCo may reject or remove an entry where there are reasonable grounds to believe that it is a duplicate; was generated or submitted by a bot, automated process or other non-human method; was submitted using more than one email address or identity; contains false, incomplete or misleading information; was submitted by someone who does not meet the eligibility requirements; attempts to manipulate or get around the entry process; or otherwise breaches these terms and conditions.

SoMoCo may use survey-platform information and fraud-detection software to identify duplicate, automated or potentially fraudulent responses. A response will not be rejected solely because several genuine participants have used the same household, college, workplace, community venue, device or internet connection.

6. The prize

The prize is one £500 Amazon.co.uk eGift Card.

The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered. If the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside SoMoCo’s reasonable control, SoMoCo may replace it with a prize of equal or greater value.

7. Choosing the winner

The winner will be selected at random from all valid and eligible entries received before the survey closes. The draw will take place within 14 days of the closing date, using a verifiable random process or under the supervision of a person who was not involved in administering the survey entries.

Survey responses will not be considered when choosing the winner.

8. Contacting the winner and claiming the prize

The winner will be contacted using the email address provided with their survey entry. SoMoCo will make reasonable attempts to contact the winner. Before the prize is issued, the winner will be asked to confirm the email address to which the eGift Card should be sent.

The winner must respond within one month of the date of the first prize-notification email and may be asked to provide information reasonably required to confirm their identity and eligibility.

The prize offer may be withdrawn if the winner does not respond within one month, cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, cannot demonstrate that they are eligible, or has breached these terms. In that situation, SoMoCo may select another winner at random from the remaining valid entries.

Entrants are responsible for checking their email inbox and junk or spam folders.

9. Receiving the prize

The £500 Amazon.co.uk eGift Card will be sent by email within 28 days after the winner responds, confirms their email address and their eligibility is verified. The winner is responsible for providing a valid and accurate email address. SoMoCo will not be responsible if the prize is sent to an incorrect email address supplied or confirmed by the winner.

10. Personal information

Personal information supplied in connection with the prize draw will be used to administer entries, identify duplicate or invalid submissions, contact and verify the winner, send the eGift Card by email, and demonstrate that the prize draw was administered fairly. A postal address is not required to enter or receive the prize.

Personal information will be kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and to meet any legal, audit or regulatory requirements.

Entering the prize draw does not mean that you have agreed to receive marketing communications. Any request for marketing consent will be optional and separate from entry into the prize draw.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with SoMoCo’s privacy notice: https://somoco.co.uk/privacy.

11. Winner information

SoMoCo may be required to make information available to show that a valid prize was awarded. This may include the winner’s surname and county or local area. The winner may object to some or all of this information being published or made available, although SoMoCo may still be required to provide relevant information to a regulator.

12. Technical problems and changes

SoMoCo is not responsible for entries that are delayed, incomplete, corrupted, misdirected or not successfully submitted because of technical problems outside its reasonable control. Proof that an entrant attempted to submit the survey is not proof that the entry was received.

SoMoCo may suspend, cancel or amend the survey or prize draw where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary. It will not make a change that unfairly disadvantages people who have already submitted a valid entry. Where reasonably practicable, any significant change will be communicated through the survey page or the channels used to promote the survey.

13. General

By entering the prize draw, entrants agree to these terms and conditions.

SoMoCo’s decisions about the administration of the prize draw are final, subject to applicable law and regulatory requirements. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

These terms and the prize draw are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
